Whoever you’re travelling with, there’s a camp built around you. Couples wanting total privacy, families ready to roam, friends after a place that’s entirely theirs for a few days. Each camp is built to blend into its surroundings, celebrating the landscape rather than competing with it.
Choose Desert Lodge, Dune Camp, Boulders Camp, Plains Camp, or the Mountain View Suite: five very different homes, each with its own stretch of the NamibRand Nature Reserve to call its own.

Dune Camp is situated on the site where the first four Wolwedans Igloo Dome tents were built, back in the late 90s. It’s a special place for us and carries many memories. Today, the Igloos are long gone, but we’ve tried to preserve the spirit of this down-to-earth experience while still delivering comfort and style.
Desert Lodge is positioned in one of the most enviable locations that the NamibRand has to offer and has a stunning outlook over orange-hued dunes and craggy mountains. This magnificent vista is at the heart of the lodge, and all the rooms and guest areas are perfectly positioned to make the most of the incredible surroundings.
The Mountain View Suite is built over 200 square metres of deck above the dunes. It is exclusive, romantic and extraordinary, with ample space to relax while staring down the valley to the distant mountains – one of the most magnificent views in the reserve.
Plains Camp, formerly known as Private Camp, is our exclusive villa, resting in the centre of a vast valley and surrounded by plains for as far as the eye can see. Plains Camp is your special home at Wolwedans, demanding nothing of you but to relax and gaze at the ever-changing colours of the desert…
Boulders Camp is located in and around the base of a massive outcrop of granite rocks in the NamibRand plains. This tiny camp is 3 hours south of our other camps and as far off the beaten track as you can get. This is the place for adventure and to enjoy being completely removed from every day life.
