Boulders Safari Camp

Situated 45 kilometers south of Wolwedans and hugged by massive granite rocks, Boulders Safari Camp is the most remote and ‘classic’ camp of the Wolwedans Collection. Boulders sleeps a maximum of eight guests in four spacious tents (5 rooms as of 2018). This tiny camp is as off the beaten track, as it can get.

The main area consists of a dining and lounge tent, a breakfast deck, library, pool and an open fireplace. Sundowners can be enjoyed from the top of a mountainous rock plateau close by, delivering epic impressions of the vast beauty of the surroundings.

From Boulders Safari Camp you will explore the deep south of NamibRand Nature Reserve. Guided scenic drives, two to three hour walking safaris treading along the ancient hunting grounds of the bushmen and eBiking (as of 2018) will happily fill your days.

Please note, that as of 2018 Boulders will be sold as a three-night package with fixed arrival dates every third day of the year (check slots/dates below). This will enable us to truly weave the magic with a carefully choreographed programme, making the Boulders experience (which also includes a day-safari to Wolwedans) just perfect.

Your itinerary would look like this:

Day 1: Arrival before noon, briefing, lunch and pm activity (i.e. eBiking, scenic drive etc.) for early arrivals. Pm arrivals will settle in and enjoy sundowns close to camp.

Day 2: Early morning walking safari or eBike tour with brunch served in the field. Return to camp for a siesta. Extended afternoon scenic drive to the South of the reserve, sundown’s in the field, dinner.

Day 3: Day-safari to Wolwedans (lunch), returning to camp mid afternoon. Sundowner in the field followed by a surprise dinner.

Day 4: Departure after breakfast (latest 10h00)

Please note: Boulders can’t be booked online as of 2018 (system does not allow for 3 night package) and hence we request you to engage with our reservations team to secure your Boulders slot and booking.
