Scenic Flights

A bird’s eye view of some of the most far-flung and pristine natural wonders will have you experience the true romance of Namibia… its endless space untouched by human civilization.

Scenic flights are a popular activity at Wolwedans. Commencing during the late afternoon, and giving you a bird’s eye view of the Diamond Coast and Sossusvlei, this is a truly exhilarating and once-in-a-lifetime experience. Scenic flights are offered by our sister company Nature Wings, providing we have a plane available (please enquire). If you stay for two nights you have the choice between Routes A or B.

For guests staying three nights or longer, Route C (which is a full day fly-in safari) provides a wonderful opportunity to visit some of Namibia’s most remote attractions in the far south. The cost is calculated per plane and will be divided by the number of passengers per given flight, except for Route C (see below).

Route A

Take-off is at Wolwedans heading towards Dune 45. Fly down the Tsauchab River valley, routing over Dead Vlei and the mighty Sossusvlei, before turning back to Wolwedans. Flying time is approximately 45 minutes in the air (depending on wind)
